Thin-lens decision guide
Higher index can reduce thickness for some prescriptions, but the final result also depends on frame size, shape, centration, design and how the lens is finished. The highest index is not automatically best.


Compare realistic lens options using the same prescription and chosen frame. A smaller well-centred frame can sometimes improve thickness more meaningfully than index alone.
